Metalforming or Electroforming is a method of electroplating parts that are normally non conductive of electricity. Our economical Metalform paints allow you to plate non conductive parts without the high cost of typical conductive paints.

Nearly anything non conductive item can be plated by metalforming. This includes organics like leaves flowers, sea shells, sand dollars, plastic, wood, ceramic, glass, and plaster.

The part is first coated with one of our conductive paints callled metalforming paints. After painting, the part is dipped into immersion tin, copper plated, nickel plated, and finally gold plated or any other decorative metal such as platinum, rhodium, or silver. The process yields a mirror bright finish. All Gold Touch, In.c jewlery plating chemicals are cyanide free and arsenic free.

If you already have a tank plating system and are interested in plating non conductive parts, the conductive paint is available separately.

The acrylic water based version for dipping and brushing is available in 1 ounce and 6 ounce bottles.

The lacquer based version for spraying is sold in 4 ounce cans.
