A certain competitor of ours and some of his supposed "Dream Team" customers (that actually sell his product) coated this Honda
Civic with their product last year.
Perhaps you may recall seeing this car on a competitor's web site last spring. It has since disappeared from the site.
After congratulating themselves on their supposed achievement, it was taken to show in California where it turned YELLOW AFTER
ONLY ONE DAY IN THE SUN!
The customer has been without the use of their show car since about late spring. The car
and parts have been languishing in Florida and California collecting
excuses and a couple layers of their inferior product and primer. WIth all this paint on it there is no way they could have fixed their
own mess.
The seams even looked lousy with paint.
We heard about this mishap through the industry grapevine and offered our help to get the car fixed and back on the show circuit.
We altered the design
a little. If the customer likes it we will go with this slightly altered look.
There were at least 2 layers of their yellowed product on the car. Some of the parts we stripped and some
we replaced because it was easier than sanding all the gummy product off. Cosmichrome is guaranteed not to turn yellow in the sun.
You just need to use Cosmichrome
top coats only and not alter them. If you want to apply a name brand clear over the Cosmichrome clear you can do so safely if you
wait three days so it doesn't melt through Cosmichrome clear and touch the metal.
If that company can't spray their own product without it discoloring after one day in the sun how will you manage it? If they treat a
big company like this, how will they treat you? We get calls for help nearly every day from people that have their product.
Cosmichrome has just been approved by Delphi as an OEM alternative to chrome plating. No other spray chrome comes close to the
durability of Cosmichrome.
